Resources for Writers:

The Poetry Superhighway
Even has t-shirts now. Just go there, k.?
Poets and Writers Online
Certainly a vehicle for promoting the hardcopy magazine "Poets and Writers", but it also posts featured articles, has a classifieds section, news, links, the searchable version of "A Directory of American Poets and Fiction Writers", and a forum called "Speakeasy".
Ralan.com
"A Writers Digest Best 101 Web Site for Writers For the 2nd year." Writer's markets, links.
WebWriters Workshop
There is a bookstore, forum, readings announcements, and ezine. I see a Linda Ethridge posting in the poetry section.
Writer's Digest Magazine
Leans very much towards the commercial aspects of writing and publishing. What I found most useful about the print edition of their magazine was the contest and competition classifieds section. Please remember that reading about writing is not a substitute for writing.

E-zines:

Copperfield Review
A "quarterly journal for readers and writers of historical fiction."
Half Drunk Muse
"Slightly unstable. Poetry ezine for today's world". Also accepts art and prose.
October Moon
A Quarterly E-Zine seeking dark poetry, fiction, art and essays.
Poetically Speaking
Personal poetry, guest poets, self-publishing opportunities, resources and more.
Unlikely Stories
A repository of poetry, fiction, and art. Interviews with poets. A nice "bookstore" section that lists the work of selected poets. I like that it has a black background. I am quite serious. Were it up to me the entire web would float above an inky void.
